Some platforms refer to a response path as ‘Connection ID’ or Channel ID. But what is the response path❓

The response path is the method used to send responses to a bot user. Once your user has engaged with your bot, you then have the right path to send back messages (which will arrive back where the first message started).

If I sent you a text message, your way to respond is to reply to my phone number :calling:…In Slack, your message is usually from a direct message or perhaps via a slack channel. You’ll usually have the right response path from the original message so there’s often no need to change the response path.
