Welcome message slow

My Welcome Message is being sent very slowly. Why? It should not come automatically fast? I need a faster response!

Sorry you feel the welcome message is being sent slowly. Has this suddenly changed or has it always been the case? What platform are you creating your bot for? How many active flows is your bot listening too?

I do not know how long this has happened. I tried to rephrase the bot to try to improve its speed. I tried several things already. Now I removed the catch all and placed a welcome message. I thought I’d sort it out, but it’s still slow. My bot is on the facebook platform and has 30 streams. I need a solution! Its impossible that a chatbot be so slow.

Sorry to hear that your flows are performing slowly. Just a few more questions to help get to the bottom of this:

Is there a particular flow that seems slow to trigger? How long would you say it takes the bot to respond on average? What type of response time are you expecting to see?

Previously I had a stream with catch all. This flow took about 8 seconds to be triggered. To solve this, I had the idea to remove the catch all and put the welcome message. I hoped so I would not have this slowness anymore. But that was not the case, even the welcome message remains slow.

Unfortunately I’ve not been able to reproduce any slowness on my account even with large numbers of flows switched on. Would you be able to share a link to your bot for me? Could you also confirm whether your keyword triggers have multiple keywords set up in them or are they simply a single keyword?

before they were multiple keywords. I’ve now reduced it to just one single keyword (another thing that I´ve tried), but even so the welcome message is taking a long time. I’ll send the bot link to you in private.

welcome message is slow. What conditions influences her speed? Is it influenced by the number of flow as well? or just by the flows that are trigger shorcut activated?

That may have a slight impact but in all honesty there may not be much more that you can do to influence the speed :disappointed:

We’re working on platform improvements so hopefully this is something that will change with future updates.

just make the welcome message be influenced only by the flows that have shortcut, after all it is only related to them
