I need to decode some base64 text as part of a workflow. I am sure flowxo can do this using the code service but I am not a coder and do not know how to do this. Would someone be kind enough to show me how to do this?
Use FlowXO to decode BAse64 Text
Hey there,
You’re spot on there. You can decode using the Code service. Loving a good challenge and all, we’ve had a bash at this one and managed to find a function that works well with our platform so here it is for all that want it.
/**
*
* Base64 decode
* http://www.webtoolkit.info/
*
**/
var Base64 = {
// private property
_keyStr : "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789+/=",
// public method for decoding
decode : function (input) {
var output = "";
var chr1, chr2, chr3;
var enc1, enc2, enc3, enc4;
var i = 0;
input = input.replace(/[^A-Za-z0-9\+\/\=]/g, "");
while (i < input.length) {
enc1 = this._keyStr.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));
enc2 = this._keyStr.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));
enc3 = this._keyStr.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));
enc4 = this._keyStr.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));
chr1 = (enc1 << 2) | (enc2 >> 4);
chr2 = ((enc2 & 15) << 4) | (enc3 >> 2);
chr3 = ((enc3 & 3) << 6) | enc4;
output = output + String.fromCharCode(chr1);
if (enc3 != 64) {
output = output + String.fromCharCode(chr2);
}
if (enc4 != 64) {
output = output + String.fromCharCode(chr3);
}
}
output = Base64._utf8_decode(output);
return output;
},
// private method for UTF-8 decoding
_utf8_decode : function (utftext) {
var string = "";
var i = 0;
var c = 0;
var c1 = 0;
var c2 = 0;
while ( i < utftext.length ) {
c = utftext.charCodeAt(i);
if (c < 128) {
string += String.fromCharCode(c);
i++;
}
else if((c > 191) && (c < 224)) {
c2 = utftext.charCodeAt(i+1);
string += String.fromCharCode(((c & 31) << 6) | (c2 & 63));
i += 2;
}
else {
c2 = utftext.charCodeAt(i+1);
c3 = utftext.charCodeAt(i+2);
string += String.fromCharCode(((c & 15) << 12) | ((c2 & 63) << 6) | (c3 & 63));
i += 3;
}
}
return string;
}
}
resolve(Base64.decode(inputs.b64String));
This is great and I really appreciate you guys jumping on this. As a correction to the above code I had to change:
utf8decode : function (utftext) {
Should be with the two additional underscores
_utf8_decode : function (utftext) {
I just edited Kellsey’s post to turn the script into a code block, that makes it easier to copy and paste, and fixes that problem with the __
disappearing.
How I can encode data to base64 using the code service? And can I use sha1?
How i can realize this:
> #!/bin/bash > PUBLIC_KEY='your_public_key' > PRIVATE_KEY='your_private_key' > POST_DATA='base64_post_string' > POST_SIGNATURE='tp+ZLmKm1/E83dIzUpx5ljcttP4=' > # SIGNATURE is base64 encode result from sha1 binary hash from concatenate string ${PRIVATE_KEY}${POST_DATA}${PRIVATE_KEY} > SIGNATURE=$(echo -n "${PRIVATE_KEY}${POST_DATA}${PRIVATE_KEY}" | openssl dgst -binary -sha1 | base64)
> if [ "x${POST_SIGNATURE}" == "x${SIGNATURE}" ] > then > echo "ok" > else > echo "invalid signature: ${POST_SIGNATURE} != ${SIGNATURE}" > fi
> # POST_DATA in this example > # base64_post_string
> # SIGNATURE in this example > # tp+ZLmKm1/E83dIzUpx5ljcttP4=

Hi there,
Unfortunately I’m not familar with sha1, but there’s a flow here which has a code function for both encoding and decoding to base64. I hope this helps
