Updating the bot

Dear all, this question sounds a bit stupid for me, but this is my first bot and I really need to ask this. :slight_smile:

Say, I finish coding, go through all steps and publish my bot as described in the manual (hope I can cope with that). But then I need to update it. Replace a few messages and insert a new flow.

How do I do that? Shall I delete my ‘old’ bot and go through the procedure again? Will I keep the bot name then?

Or will the bot update itself somehow? The main flow will stay the same and the bot still resides on flowxo servers so since it is included in the updated bot, there will technically be little difference for the outer world.

Hi @Peter, :wave:

If you ever need to add or change any flows you can simply do this under the flows section in your account. :slight_smile: As long as a flow is listening to a specific bot then the bot will always respond regardless of when it was created.

If you delete a bot you will lose all your active users so we’d strongly advise not doing this unless absolutely necessary. :wink:
