Trigger a Flow - usage help

(Oli Zitch) #1

Hello.

I need some guide about working with Trigger a Flow.
I can call another Flow from recent one, right?
How should I match the action with another Flow?

A bit difficult for me to understand that, sorry.
Thnx for any help.

@olizitch

The Flow trigger works by matching up key words. You setup your trigger with a key word and then trigger it from another flow by adding the flow action that matches that key word.

For example, you have Flow A that is your main flow. Flow B is the separate flow that is setup with a Flow trigger called ‘Flow B’.

Inside Flow A you would add an action to trigger a flow and simply type in ‘Flow B’.

Hopefully that makes sense.

So:

  1. In the ‘Word or Phrase’ on the first screen of ‘Trigger a Flow’ settings I need to write a name of separate Flow?
  2. Should I do anything with the settings of separate Flow I want to be triggered?

Am I right?

Got ‘No triggers matching the keyword’ for all three triggers :frowning:

Hi Oli

Just make sure when you are using the Trigger a Flow Action in your Flow, you also use A Flow> New Trigger (not a New Message Trigger) like so.

Just make sure you’ve typed the same Keyword in the Trigger a flow action and the Flow > New Trigger keyword.

Of course both flows need to be switched on.

Any problems, send your Flows to support@flowxo.com we’ll take a look and help get this working
