Test Console for Broadcast

I’ve set up a Broadcast and checked that it is connected to the Test Console bot but when I open the Test Console it sends the usual Hello, this is Test Console message rather than the first message of the Broadcast. Is it possible to test a Broadcast using Test Console and if so what else can I check to get it working?

Hi @Roger_Swannell

You would still see the welcome message as the first message unless you have a flow setup using a catch-all trigger or a New Message trigger with a key word of ‘Start’.

Broadcasting to the Test Console is possible though.
What broadcast trigger are you using?

Hi, It’s an Instant Broadcast to be triggered manually. Is it possible to test?

Instant broadcast should work fine with the test console

Are you opening the test console before sending the broadcast?

Ah, do I need to press the ‘Send Broadcast’ button to test it? I guess I should make sure it’s not connected to Messenger so it doesn’t send to users?

Yeah, for an instant broadcast it’s started by pressing that button.
