'Send an image' is failing while the same file works flawlessly with 'Send a card'

Hi there,

I have a problem with “Send an image” action.

Specifically, when using this image (setting the URL image to it): http://23.102.185.70/horario.php
it fails (the bot doesn’t get anything). However, when I open that URL in my browser, I can see that the image is
correctly generated (it is a custom PHP that dynamically generates the picture). Moreover, if I use the very same URL with “Send a card” the bot sends me the image perfectly!

Am I doing something wrong or is it really a bug?

Thanks for your help.

Can you tell us what platform this is - Messenger, Telegram or Slack, or do you see it in several of them?

I’ll try and replicate this and if it is a bug we’ll be able to fix it for you!

Welcome to the forum.

Hi John,

I’m using Telegram. Haven’t tested it in Messenger or Slack.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Hi Juanan

I can see that your ‘send image’ works fine in other platforms (Slack & Messenger) but somethings going wrong in Telegram. Don’t worry, we’ll take a closer look and i’ll update you shortly.

This is proving tricky and an issue with Telegrams image extension, The fact that the image is called horario.php and not horario.jpg is causing the problem here. To rectify, simply send an image using the .jpg file extension. That way Telegram will handle the image correctly.
