Search rows results are not working in shortcuts

Hi!

  1. I make search row in google table
  2. I put search rows results into the shortcuts fields
  3. Shortcuts are empty

What can be the problem?

I notice that you’ve had some other issues with Google Sheets in your flow(s).

Actually, all tickets are separate)

In this case problem is that you cant use search rows results in shortcuts at the same flow.
(shortcuts are in the next message coming after search row function).

Hi Pavel,

You should be able to use your search rows results as a shortcut value. What results are being returned in your logs from the search row action?

Also, what value are you passing in as the shortcut?

hi, i have the same problem… I giving customer question with choises, and each choise has value its the arrow to google sheets… in the other way it works, like if i send message or ask question main window adding the link to google sheets row… but if im doing the same in shortcuts value it doesnt work…could you help me?

Hi guys,

When you’re setting up the shortcuts what values are you using to point at the Google Sheets values.

The setup should look a little like this which I’ve just tested and does display the outputs as shortcuts correctly. :slight_smile:

in this case as button shows the information… but i need not like this. i.e. I have rows: rooms, entertainment, cars… and each row has information in columns about it. So I need my shortcut button name Rooms, entertainment, cars, and then customer choosing i.e. rooms - he getting value from column… I need this to what you showed but to be as a value, not as a name…

Hi,

All you would need to do therefore would be to switch what I have in the left hand field into the right hand “Value” field and then send Rooms, Entertainment etc in the Left hand “shortcut” field. The user will see the value in the shortcut field and the flow will respond with the value from the “Value” field as the output for the action. :thumbsup:

This is the problem… I did in this way but then it doesnt work if value field isnt empty¬ its not working… And as other user said the same and i have if i have any action added below like ask a question and even there is no filters applied this action runs automaticly if my upper question has shortcuts with value field added system shows just message text, but shortcuts didnt … I could make printscreens of my google sheet and with my question so maybe then you can have a look to my problem?

Hi @Coli_Fo,

If you want to stop the flow for a user to press one of the buttons you’ll need to use the “Ask a Question” action with choice options. This is the only action that pauses the flow waiting for user input. The “Send a Message with shortcuts” action is really designed to be used as the last action in a flow, the shortcut value then triggers a new flow - this value can’t be stored as an output that can be used in the rest of the flow for filters etc.
