Introduction to Flow XO..."controlled"?

Introduction to Flow XO
Flow XO is a complete platform for building, hosting and managing chatbots for messaging platforms, such as Messenger, Slack and Telegram.

It includes a visual editor to build bots without code (we call each word/phrase a bot responds to a ‘flow’). When you’re ready to distribute or sell your bot, you can create your own bots which are owned and branded by you but controlled and hosted by Flow XO.

Is there a definitive term or expression to sharpen the context of the word “controlled”. Hosting I understand but can controlled be classified a bit more. Thank you

Hi Samson,

I must admit that the ‘controlled’ part is a bit of a mute point there; it’s basically just a minor expansion on the hosting.

Flow XO is the host for your bots and flows but we also do some behind the scenes work to make it easier to setup and manage your bots. The custom request service, for example is a simplified version of the Webhooks & HTTP service where we can do things like handle the authentication for requests made to Facebook Messenger.

In short, we do whatever we can to make your bots work as flawlessly as possible but you still have control over your account and any flows or bots that you create.

Hopefully that clarifies things!

Thanks,
Dan

Thank you for that informed explanation Dan, that was perfect!
