Facebook Chatbots available again?

Hello, I received this email, does that mean truly that I can connect a brand new chatbot to a facebook page again?, if so what are exactly the restrictions mentioned? ¿what is the number of chatbots that can be created exactly? is it by flowxo account? is it in total around the planet?, can I connect my stuck bots parked now because of this embargo?

There’s no specific limit that we’re aware of but you should be able to create new bots using the Flow XO app. In truth Facebook has been vague so we just wanted to share what info we had so far and let people know that they can start creating bots again :slightly_smiling_face:

I have received this message when tryed to add facebook chat-bot:

Platform Access Disabled: Access temporarily disabled due to changes to the Facebook Platform

I have tested it against a Fan Page I had pending from a customer who was waiting and worked fine.

It looks like there’s still a problem for connecting bots if the user doesn’t currently have a bot already connected to a page

Until Facebook completely lifts the platform restrictions I don’t think there’s a fix for this. :disappointed:

Please make an announcement in the community when it becomes possible to create new facebook bots.

So i cannot add my first bot? I was reading your email where u saying that Facebook opened up the possibility to connect new Bots.

Hi @janullric

I’m sorry if it’s not working for you. The email was sent following an announcement from Facebook which indicated that existing apps would be opened up for use again in a limited capacity.

It seems as though this hasn’t extended to new users though. :disappointed:

I have connected a new admin to a Fan Page and then created a new flowxo account with it, then connected a bot and a flow and it worked!

@Augusto_Vera this Fan Page yours it’s a new one or a old one?
I can’t get either add a facebook bot just like @SLV.
New page here and new bot, i mean first for both cases…

Hi Alan,

From what I’m aware of, users who have logged into Facebook with Flow XO and created a bot in the past can add new pages to their account and connect new bots on the platform. Unfortunately anyone who’s Facebook account has not previously been authorised with Flow XO cannot create new bots at present. :disappointed:

Hi,

Facebook have announced that they’ve now lifted all restrictions on creating new Messenger chatbots.

Therefore, the Flow XO platform is completely available again for all channels, including Messenger! :clap:
