I see with the latest release to support Messenger 1.4 now has the choice to disable freeform text. Although this is a nice feature, is there a way to re-enable freeform text for selected flows or services such as Questions?

No there’s not unfortunately Bob, it’s all or nothing - Facebook only allow it to be turned on or off globally.
