Capture Image from Camera

Hi,

I am trying to get the user to click a picture and share it with me thru’ the bot. We are trying to build a system for a bar where the business wants people to post what they are drinking on the bot and receive offers/information etc.

“Send an Image” card asks for a URL, which I would not have if the user is clicking the picture on their phone at that time.

I don’t know if I am missing something basic in achieving this. Any pointers would be useful?
(Ideally I would like to have a button which asks the user to click on an icon, and it should open the camera and ask the user to click the picture. Something like what “Send my location” does).

Hi there,

In order to accept an image from the user you are along the right lines - it is the same process as the “Send my
location”. This uses the Bot -> New File trigger. For the location template, we trigger on the receipt of a file type “location”. For images you would probably want to filter on the file type “image”. :slight_smile:
