Capability to duplicate FLOWXO bots automatically / by means of API / text file loading or external service (ZAPIER?)

(Gadi) #1

Let’s say I want to built an automated CHATBOT maker with FLOWXO as my backend.
This bot maker will deliver duplication of a specific prototype chatbot I am building in FLOWXO.

Is this possible?

Just to clarify :

  1. I am going to create a prototype CHATBOT on the FLOWXO GUI - for example let’s say it’s the simplest chatbot ever - it just asks for phone number and it’s on WEB platform.
  2. Now, I want to build on my server (or with external service like ZAPIER), a logic that will be able to access the FLOWXO and DUPLICATE my bot so I now I will have 2 bots (which do the same thing and both work on WEB platform).

Thanks in advance
Regards,
Gadi.

Hi Guys,

I want the same thing essentially.

Allow for bot creation to be automated and allow the use of variables, just like flows do. Since my bot creates more bots, and I plan to have hundreds, then thousands then 100’s of thousands of customers, creating bots manually is going to become tedious. So, I’d like to be able to kick off a flow in my master bot, that would use stored values to populate the fields of the new bot creation for the clone bot. In this way, I can automate the creation of the Greeting Text and the Persistent Menu and the Bot Name. Make sense?

Could this be put into the Trello board for voting?

Hi Kurt,

I think this is a pretty niche request, re. having a bot to build other bots (although it does sound pretty cool!). I’d suggest posting this over on the suggestions area of the Community site to maybe expand on what you’re looking for.

As a more general use case I have added an idea over to the roadmap for an option to copy bots so that welcome/greeting text and any persistent menu items can be carried over. Feel free to stop by and leave a vote.

Hey Daniel,

Have you considered creating an API that would allow programmatic access to platform aspects like those I’m seeking?

I bet an API would open up lots of other use cases that would make FlowXO even more useful!

Cheers,

Kurt

Hi Kurt,

It’s not something that’s currently on the development roadmap so I can’t say for certain if that’s something that would be implemented but it’s certainly the type of thing that we’ll keep in mind when deciding on new features to develop.

Thanks,
Dan
