Bug with 'Trigger a New Flow' Action

(Frank Davies) #1

When I position the ‘Trigger A New Flow’ action at the end of a flow, it doesn’t work. However, when I position it as below, where it’s just before the action I want it to be after, it triggers at the correct time.

This must be a bug, right?

Does your filter for ‘Only shown on first connection’ have the option enabled for ‘Also stop rest of flow if conditions are met’?

It doesn’t, no. Output of this flow is also shown in the order:

  1. Send first message
  2. Send second message
  3. Trigger flow

Could you please email support@flowxo.com with a link to your flow. You can share a flow by clicking on the ‘private’ button near the top right corner when editing the flow.

Thanks,
Dan

Following up on this: it seems that after a ‘Trigger a New Flow’ action, the input to that action is not analysed and grouped in the same way as a user message would be.

In practical terms this can be solved by including metadata and an additional filter, but from a UX perspective it seems it’d make more sense for flows triggered by an action to behave the same way as flows triggered by genuine user input.
